Nerdy Planet is a travel app for the intellectually curious. It maps places worth going out of your way for — a natural nuclear reactor in Gabon, a clonal forest that has been alive for 80,000 years, a lake that turns animals to stone — and tells you the story behind each one.
There are more than 3,000 articles, each written against cited sources and fact-checked before publication. You can read all of them free, in the browser or in the Android app.

No account needed
Reading and exploring work without signing in. An account only adds syncing.
Signing in with Google
If you choose “Continue with Google”, Nerdy Planet asks Google for two things: your email address and your basic profile (name and profile picture). That is the whole request — no access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or Calendar.
The email address identifies your account so your saved places follow you between devices. The name and picture appear on your own profile screen. None of it is sold or shared with advertisers, and you can delete your account and its data from the profile screen at any time.
